Toronto Chinese Methodist Church is a Christian church of the Wesleyan tradition, rooted in the love of Jesus Christ, with the emphasis on building a loving church, leading people to have peace with God and have the experience of an abundant life. The church was founded in 1983, and services were held at the Tri-Congregational Churches in North York. In 1985, the church property at Logan Avenue was purchased. In June 1992, a daughter church was planted in Markham, using the facilities of the Milliken Wesleyan Methodist Church. In August 1998, the land at Warden Avenue and Hwy. 401 was purchased for the construction of a new building, for worship and for the sharing of the good news. With the providence of God, the new building was finished in the summer of 2001, and thus marked the reunion of our Logan and Milliken church. TCMC continues to share the good news with the Cantonese, Mandarin and English Communities and to serve the people in the Greater Toronto area.
